Avoiding Over Eating

The foundation of a good diet is proper caloric intake, but overeating can ruin that quickly. Luckily there are several ways to keep yourself from overeating. Getting rid of distractions (like the TV and cellphone) and taking time to enjoy your food will engage your senses and keep you from eating more at your next sitting. Secondly, eat when you're hungry - don't wait till you're starving; you'll be more likely to overeat to compensate. Finally, give your body a few minutes to realize you've eaten.
