A new study found that those who drank 3 to 5 cups of coffee a day (wow) had a 15% lower mortality rate than their non-drinking counterparts. Does that mean you should start drinking coffee? No. In fact, excessive caffeine is bad for your health and causes high blood pressure, agitation and sleep problems. The good news is, the study found that the effects were similar with decaffeinated coffee, but it's also important to realize that it is merely an association - coffee is not the cause of people's longevity.
